It was another thrilling weekend in the English Premier League, as all the games had at least a goal for the fans to savour.

The day’s highest-scoring game was at Villa Park where Leicester City returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Aston Villa.

Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho was in the thick of the action; scoring a goal and providing two assists in what was his second start in the Premier League this season.

Going into Saturday’s tie, Leicester City had won only once in their last six games and there was a need for Brendan Rodgers to try out something new.

One of the new things he tried was giving Iheanacho a starting role, which turned out to be a wise decision.

‘Senior Man’ as he is fondly called, came through with a goal and double assists inside the first 45 minutes.

Barely three minutes after Ollie Watkins gave Villa the lead in the ninth minute, Iheanacho orchestrated the equaliser for the Foxes

He snatched the ball from defender Boubacar Kamara and passed to James Maddison, who slotted home to make it 1-1.

Villa went ahead on Harry Souttar’s own goal in the 32nd minute, but this time, Iheanacho responded with a goal of his own; heading in a cross from Harvey Barnes in the 41st minute.

Iheanacho fed new arrival Tete, who rounded goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and put Leicester ahead in first-half stoppage time.

Tete is the first-ever Brazilian to play for Leicester and he has Iheanacho to thank; scoring on his historic debut.

While Villa tried hard to get back into the game, they were deflated when Dennis Praet made it 4-2 in the 79th for Brendan Rodgers’ team.

Many will hope to see Ihenacho getting a key role again as Tottenham hosts Tottenham next Saturday.

On their part, Villa have a difficult away test next Sunday against Manchester City.

Elsewhere, there was some reprieve for Alex Iwobi and his Everton teammates as they secured a crucial 1-0 win over league leaders Arsenal at Goodison Park.

Though Iwobi did not score, he was one of the top performers that ensured Sean Dyche got off to a winning start with the Toffees.

James Tarkowski met Dwight McNeil's corner at the back post to head home the game's only goal on the hour-mark as Dyche's side held on for a priceless three points in their relegation scrap.
