The World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Light Heavyweight title is on the line on April 6th, 2024, in the United States. Star Boxing Promotions has put together an exciting matchup between American Richard "Popeye the Sailor Man" Rivera (ranked 9th in the world) and Nigeria's own ASP Mathew Obinna Joseph, also known as "The Wise Man."

This fight, dubbed "SLUGFEST AT THE SUN," promises fireworks based on the fighters' reputations. Obinna, an undefeated professional boxer (23-0 with KOs) and an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the Nigerian Police Force, is ready to challenge Rivera on American soil.

"I've been waiting for this chance for a long time," Obinna declared. "Now that it's here, I have to prove to the world that I'm the best in this weight class. Rivera won't have anywhere to hide when we step into the ring on April 6th. I'm going to give him a fight he won't forget."

Obinna, known for his knockout power, emphasized his rigorous training for this bout. "I've put in the hard work, and nothing will stop me from wearing that championship belt on April 6th. All I need now is the support of the Imo State government, the Nigerian Police Force, and your prayers to make this dream a reality."

The determined officer also called on the US embassy in Nigeria to facilitate visas for his team, expressing his confidence in shocking the world.
