Imade Oserenkho was the star man again as Bendel Insurance picked up a valuable point against Enyimba FC in Aba on Sunday.

The striker fired home a freekick from 20 yards in the 81st minute to rescue a point for Bendel Insurance as Enyimba were held to a 1-1 draw.

The emerging poster boy of the NPFL got the away supporters screaming his name after his thunderous strike pierce through the wall of defense and find rest at the back of the net to ensure a share of the spoil at the Enyimba International Stadium.

Chukwuemeka Obioma converted from the spot to give Enyimba the lead in the 44th minute.

The result was a setback for Enyimba in their quest to finish among the top three in the group.

The people's elephants started in the second position at the beginning of the matchday only to find themselves in the fourth position on the log with 17 points after the matchday.

Akwa United defeated Shooting Stars of Ibadan by 2-0 and moved to second position with points, keeping a six points gap between them and Bendel Insurance. 

Plateau United also down Gombe United with the same scoreline to leapfrog Enyimba FC on goal difference as both finished the matchday on 17 points.

Remo Stars restored their top 3 hopes by beating Nasarawa FC by 1-0 courtesy of Samuel Anakwe 16th minute strike as the Ikenne-based team moved their point haul to 17 points. 

Kwara United defeated Elkanemi Warriors by 2-0 to further better their chances of escaping relegation with Omaka and Samad Kadiri emerging as the goals heroes.

In Group B, Rivers United held Abia Warriors to a 1-1 draw while Sunshine Stars picked a valuable point on the road against Wikki Tourist. 

Rangers compounded Bayelsa's misery with a 2-0 victory to continue their search for redemption after a poor first half of the league.

Lobi Stars lost to Doma United by 2-0, as they failed in their bid to consolidate the first position on the log. 

The result ensures that Rivers United is now on top of group A, though both teams are on 19 points the Rivers State team is leading on superior goal difference.
