Real Madrid’s Linda Caicedo has recovered and is available for Barcelona.

The Colombian striker was called up by Alberto Toril for the duel between Madrid and Barça for the Liga F, and she may be able to start.

Linda Caicedo caused concern for both Real Madrid and the Colombian Women’s National Team a week ago when she had to leave the game against Tenerife (which they lost 0-1) early due to injury.

Despite starting the game, the striker could only play for 36 minutes before requesting to be substituted due to muscle discomfort.

Fortunately, it appears that the issue is now resolved, as Caicedo has been called up by Alberto Toril to play against Barcelona in the Spanish classic.

The Madrid coach delivered a list of twenty footballers less than 24 hours after the match, including a certain ‘Linda C’.

Caicedo, the recent winner of the NXGN Nine 2023 Award as one of the best young prospects in women’s soccer, is expected to start for the third consecutive game.

She was part of the starting eleven in the Madrid derby against Atlético Madrid and in the narrow loss to Tenerife.

Although the official medical report on the 18-year-old attacker’s physical condition was not provided by the white club, her representative Cisco Terreros provided reassurance by saying “she’s fine” in an interview with AS after leaving the last game in tears.

The match between Barcelona and Real Madrid is scheduled for this Saturday, March 25, at 1:15 p.m. (ET) at the Johan Cruyff stadium. The team, led by Toril and currently occupying second place in the table with 56 points, hopes to close the gap with its rival and leader of the F League, Barcelona, who currently leads with 66 points.
