Federation Cup: Lobi Stars to face Shooting Stars in Round of 32

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has released the fixtures for the President Federation Cup Round of 32 matches.

The NFF confirmed the fixtures for the games via a letter sent to all the qualified teams and state FA secretaries.

The dates and venues of the games are yet to be announced by the organisers.

The standout fixture will be between Nigeria Premier Football League side Lobi Stars and Shooting Stars as well as Doma United versus Kano Pillars respectively.

Holders Bendel Insurance will lock horns with Wikki Tourists.

Plateau United and Sunshine Stars will be at each other’s jugular, while ambitious FC One Rocket will take their chances against two-time African champions Enyimba FC.

Meanwhile, the NFF has suspended centre referee Tijjani Majidadi from further officiating in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The chairman of the Referee Committee, Mohammed Ameenu, confirmed this in a memo sent to the official.

The move to suspend Majidadi takes immediate effect.

Referee Majidadi was found wanting during the rescheduled matchday 28 clash involving Rivers United and Katsina United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt last week.

The decision came after viral videos showed a controversially cancelled goal scored by Katsina United.

Rivers United defeated Katsina United 2-0 in the game.
