More woes for Milwaukee Bucks as Lillard joins Giannis on injury list

The Milwaukee Bucks will already be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for their last couple of regular season games remaining. Right now, Damian Lillard could be out of the picture as well with the 33-year-old nursing what appears to be a new injury.

At this point, the Bucks could be without their two best players when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night.

The Bucks have already submitted their injury report for Friday’s must-win clash against the Thunder, who themselves currently occupy the No. 2 seed in the West. It’s a lengthy list for Milwaukee, which is headlined, of course, by Antetokounmpo.

Unfortunately, Lillard is on there, too. The eight-time All-Star has been listed as doubtful to play against OKC because of a sore left adductor. This appears to be the first mention of this issue, so it’s possible that Dame suffered the knock during his 29-point performance in Wednesday’s 117-99 victory over the Orlando Magic.

It is worth noting that apart from Lillard and Antetokounmpo, AJ Green has also been added to the injury report. The second-year shooting guard was forced to exit Wednesday’s game due to an ankle sprain, and he has now also been ruled out for Friday’s clash.

Marjon Beauchamp (left ankle sprain) is questionable, while Thanasis Antetokounmpo (left hamstring soreness) is probable to play.

The Bucks enter Friday’s contest with a 1.5-game advantage over the New York Knicks for the No. 2 seed in the East.
