Zuckerberg to Musk: ‘You are a liar’
After Elon Musk's claims that the fight against Mark Zuckerberg is definitely taking place, the Meta CEO decided to call the X CEO's bluff.
He took to his Threads app to basically call him a liar and also taunt him for not setting a date on their fight already.
Musk claimed on Friday that both his and Zuckerberg's foundations would be the ones promoting a fight that is allegedly set to take place in the Rome Colosseum.
Musk was also very clear that he doesn't want Dana White or the UFC involved in the event, which led to Zuckerberg's response.
As it turns out, Zuck does want White involved and we seem to have a dispute over the fight's details.
Zuckerberg wrote a message on his Threads app to offer his side of the story and also posted an image of this Friday's training session in his backyard octagon.
He writes: "I love this sport and I've been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me. If he ever agrees on an actual date, you'll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on.
“Not holding my breath for Elon, but I'll share details on my next fight when I'm ready. When I compete, I want to do it in a way that puts a spotlight on the elite athletes at the top of the game.
“You do that by working with professional organs like the UFC or ONE to pull this off well and create a great card."
Given the tone in which Zuckerberg wrote this, he clearly doesn't trust a single word Musk is saying and he is even taunting the X CEO. This also goes to show how Musk could have issues with White for not wanting him involved in the fight.
Initially, it was believed that Zuckerberg had already agreed to Musk's terms but that is not the case at all. As things stand, Mark has been ready to fight this entire time and Elon Musk just keeps beating around the bush through tweets.
At this time of the day, the Tesla CEO hasn't responded to Zuckerberg's remarks but we can definitely expect something sarcastic from him
