Nigeria-born former champion Anthony Joshua picked up another title after winning the History Maker Award at the Best of Africa ceremony.

The heavyweight boxer was suited and booted at the ceremony in London.

And Joshua was all smiles as he picked up the History Maker Award for his impact in boxing.

AJ was not the only sports star in attendance, with Crystal Palace's Wilfred Zaha and Manchester City legend Yaya Toure joining him.

Zaha's manager, former Arsenal captain Patrick Viera, celebrated an award for his impact on football.

Joshua, wearing glasses, posed in a black tuxedo as he spoke out after the event.

He posted: "Very very grateful to receive a BOA Award."

Joshua, 32, is closing in on his boxing return, set for December 17 in the capital.

He is coming off consecutive points defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, 35, most recently in Saudi Arabia in August.

But after Usyk ruled himself out until next year, Tyson Fury, 34, surprisingly called out Joshua.

It led to shock but genuine talks for an all-British blockbuster on December 3 in Cardiff.

Although opposing promoters failed to agree terms, with Fury not set to face Derek Chisora, 38, in a trilogy bout.

Chisora, beaten by Fury is 2011 and 2014, is closing in on a deal for December 3 title shot.
