After a brilliant performance against PSG Sancho told Schmeichel he unsure of the future

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho insists he does not know where his future beyond this season lies after a stunning performance for Borussia Dortmund against Paris Saint-Germain.

Sancho joined Dortmund on loan in January after a public fallout with Erik ten Hag last September. The 24-year-old declared himself to be a 'scapegoat' on X (formerly Twitter) after Ten Hag said he had not picked the winger in his squad to face Arsenal due to his training performances.

From that point onwards, Sancho was not involved in United games and was training away from the first team after failing to apologise for his tweet, which he did delete. Since moving back to Dortmund on loan, his form has improved and he was a man full of confidence on Wednesday night as he helped BVB secure a 1-0 win in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against PSG - a result which also ended United's own Champions League qualification hopes.

After the full-time whistle, Sancho joined United legend Peter Schmeichel and Jamie Carragher for an extraordinary interview on CBS Sports, with Carragher declaring: "I've had about eight pints in the Yellow Wall!" During the interview, Schmeichel asked Sancho if he would be returning to the Bundesliga next season.

The United winger responded: "Who me? I don't know but I am just focused on impressing right now." Sancho could be on his way out of Old Trafford if Jim Ratcliffe's plan is completed.

Ratcliffe is open to offers for all but four of United's current squad this summer in a bid to reduce the wage bill at the Theatre of Dreams. Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, and Andre Onana are considered to be safe from being sold at the end of the season.
