Eagles Coaches Brainstorm Over Tunisia Match Footage

Super Eagles Salisu assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf has assured that all hands will be on deck to ensure Nigeria tame the Tunisians when both countries lock horns in the second-round tie on Sunday.

Nigeria led Group D with an unblemished record of three wins from three matches, scoring six goals and conceding one goal, while Tunisia emerged as the best losers from Group F with three points to set up a mouth-watering clash with Nigeria.

Speaking at the team training on Friday evening, coach Salisu Yusuf revealed that the Tunisians are being studied closely in a bid to come out with the best tactical formation that will ensure Nigeria's smile to the quarter-finals after Sunday's game.

" We have been working hard and praying also. We hope things will continue the way we started in the group stage. It is not about playing Arabs of blacks, we just have to engage the best teams in the competition," he said

He stressed that the players and the coaching staff have put the success of group matches behind them, and are aware of the pitfalls that come with knockout stages of every tournament like the AFCON.

" The Tunisians have their strength and weakness too but it is not for public consumption. It is up to us to do our work technically and tactically to see how we can contain their strength. We are watching them closely just as they are watching us," Salisu concluded.
