Coco Gauff is the most marketable female tennis player on SportPro annual list

At just 19-year-old Coco Gauff is the name that everyone has been talking about for years, but in 2023, the teenager finally made her mark on the Grand Slam stage. The 19-year-old won the 2023 US Open, and her name appeared in the news even more than before.

For many years, practically since breaking through at Wimbledon as a 15-year-old, the teenager has been dubbed as one of the biggest talents in the sport, and with it comes also the popularity.

Therefore, it's not a surprise that shortly after her success and becoming a superstar, Gauff was named the most marketable female tennis player on SportPro's annual list of the most marketable athletes.

Novak Djokovic, was the highest-ranked tennis player, scoring 87.96 out of 100 points and ranking 11th, and Gauff was as close as it got to the 24-time Grand Slam champion, earning a total of 87.95 points in the 12th place.

The young American, who took over the reign from Serena Williams, received 31.97 out of 35 points for brand strength, 43.92 out of 45 for the addressable market, and her weakest category was economics, scoring only 12.06 out of 20.

After her most recent triumph, and with a very bright future, Gauff's potential seems to be unlimited, and it wouldn't be a surprise if she would rank in the Top 10 or even Top 5 in the following year, provided that she follows up on her success.

Ranked behind Gauff were multiple colleagues from the ATP and WTA Tours. Naomi Osaka ranked 14th, Aryna Sabalenka was 18th, and Emma Raducanu dropped to 21st place after last year's success. Rafael Nadal ranked 41st, Petra Kvitova 43rd and Ons Jabeur closed out the Top 50.
