Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer has made a shocking revelation about what he went through at the airport in Casablanca shortly after the Super Eagles played an international friendly game against World cup bound Portugal in Lisbon last year.

The European giants scored the first goal in the 9th minute through Bruno Fernandes and the Man United midfielder added the second from a penalty spot in the 35th minute.

Goncalo Ramos who came in as a substitute for Andre Silvain in the 66th minute made it three eight minutes before the full-time. Benfica player Joao Mario got the back of the net to make it four for Portugal

The Super Eagles GK trainer who was recently dropped for the 2023 AFCON qualifier against Guinea Bissau made an open revelation on Fresh FM 102.9 Akure while being interviewed on the program “Fresh Sports”

“The ticket they bought for me for the game was something else, I want to say this so that people can know what I passed through.

"On our way from Portugal, we left the airport early in the morning to catch a flight from Lisbon to Casablanca, I didn’t eat before we left the hotel in Lisbon. When we got to Casablanca, we stayed there for 10 good hours.

"I didn’t have money any money because I forgot my bag. If I wanted to die of hunger that day, I could have died that day. I didn’t want to go and meet the junior staff like the media officer and team manager for money. It was not right.

"I had to call my daughter in Ireland and told her I was dying at the airport. She was the one that said I should go to any restaurant within the airport,

I went to one of the restaurants, and introduce myself to the manager that I am one of the assistant coaches of Nigeria and we are presently having a transit at the airport, I told him I needed to eat but it’s my daughter that will send money to them”
