Ronaldo desperate to lure Zidane to  Al-Nassr after Mourinho rejects offer

Following the dismissal of Rudi Garcia as Al-Nassr manager, Cristiano Ronaldo is negotiating the arrival of one of Europe's most highly esteemed coaches.

According to CBS Sports, the Portuguese striker wants to see his club make a move to sign Zinedine Zidane as their future coach.

According to reports, the Saudi Arabian side would offer Zidane a lucrative contract in a bid to finish the season as champions of the Saudi league.

Al-Nassr currently sits at second place in the table after a draw against Feiha (0-0) which culminated in the sacking of Rudi Garcia.

Al-Nassr reportedly offered Roma coach Jose Mourinho 120 million dollars a year for two seasons to take the reigns at Al-Nassr.

The offer was rejected by the Portuguese coach who will continue at the helm of Roma.

A similar sum could be offered to Zidane who may be tempted by the lucrative contract.

Zizou maintained a close relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo who played his last three seasons at Real Madrid under the Frenchman's direction.

The 38-year-old forward believes that Zidane's arrival would maximise Al-Nassr's chances of winning the Saudi league title.

For now, Cristiano's side trail by three points to league leaders Al Ittihad. Rudi Garcia's right-hand man, Dinko Jelecic, remains on the sidelines as interim manager until a replacement is made official.
