Paris Olympics torch unveiled by Usain Bolt described as the ‘ugliest ever’

Sports legend Usain Bolt helped unveil the Olympic torch ahead of Paris 2024, but many fans hate it.

That is because to them it looks like a lot of things, but not like an Olympic and Paralympic torch.

Bolt appeared as a special guest during the presentation on the Seine in Paris with only one year to go until the Games in France.

The 100m and 200m world record holder was handed the torch from Paris 2024 President Tony Estanguet in front of a hundred French athletes and IOC President Thomas Bach.

But a number of fans weren't impressed with the design with some comparing it to a vape pen, champagne bottle, and even a vacuum cleaner.

One fan tweeted: "First impressions.. ugliest torch ever made … looks like a vape pen .. disappointed…"

Another commented: "Looks like a double-edged champagne bottle to me!"

A third posted: "Congratulations to #Paris2024 on the unveiling of their Olympic torch!

"The champagne aspect is superb. A masterpiece in my opinion! Let's open the Games wide!"

This fan wrote: "Looks like a small vacuum cleaner!"

And that one said: "Can I get a Margarita, please?"

However, Bolt is very pumped for Paris 2024 and will attend the sporting extravaganza next year with his family.

The eight-time Olympic gold medallist even predicted the Opening Ceremony could be the best ever.

Bolt said: "I’m very happy to be here. Paris has always been a city that I enjoyed competing in and hanging out in. I’m excited for the Olympics next year. I’ll be here with my family.

“I think it’s gonna be one of the best if not the best Opening Ceremony.

"Imagine everybody standing outside, across the bridges cheering people up. It was never done before
