Venus wants rewind the hand of the clock with rigorus training at Nadal Academy

Tennis superstar Venus Williams is still hungry for tennis, despite her 43 years. Although now it is only she who carries on the Williams dynasty, after Serena's retirement.

The two American sisters, 30 Slams in two, dominated the women's circuit for almost two decades, becoming icons and examples for many tennis players on the circuit and rightfully entering the Olympus of the world of Sport. If Serena, 23 times Grand Slam champion, stopped playing at the age of 41, after playing her last match at the US Open, Venus, at 43, is still active and continues to train to be able to compete on the circuit.

In recent days, the American has been seen training in Rafael Nadal's Academy, probably also allowing herself a few days of vacation to enjoy the island's beaches.

But this says a lot about the atavistic emptiness in her belly, which makes her hungry for tennis, the last true legend and icon still in business.

With what goals? Have fun, excite the crowds, try to try again to surpass yourself, reach new goals and, why not, try to win.

Venus returned to the circuit after having a break in 2021 following some disappointing results.

In July 2022 she received a wild card to participate in the Rogers Cup, one year after her last on-court appearance.

Then participated in the US Open on the occasion of her sister Serena's last tournament, both in singles and doubles.

In 2023, attendance were sipped, but even at 43 and not in perfect physical condition, the American managed to obtain two prestigious victories, in particular the one against the Italian Camila Giorgi in the first round of the WTA 250 tournament in Birmingham. Her last appearance then a few weeks ago at Wimbledon thanks to a wild card, immediately eliminated with a score of 6-4 6-3 by future semifinalist Elina Svitolina, a match during which she also suffered a bad knee injury.

After the short run at the British tournament, Venus flew to Puglia on the occasion of a high fashion event organized by Dolce & Gabbana. The American champion then decided to enjoy a few more days of rest in the Italian region, posting some shots of her on her social networks that portray her enchanted among the beauties of Puglia.

Now training in Spain, in Nadal's academy, waiting to find out what will be the next tournament in which she will take part.
