NPFL: Ilechukwu rallies support for Finidi George
Rather than bask in the euphoria of clarion calls by Enyimba fans to take over from Finidi George, coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has called for more support for the former Super Eagles winger.

Plateau United coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has charged Enyimba fans to support coach Finidi George, 234sportsng.com can report.
The Aba Peoples Elephants have been going through rough patches in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and are 8th on the log, 13 points adrift of league leaders, Rivers United prompting calls for Ilechukwu to take over from Finidi. Instead, the former MFM gaffer has called on Enyimba bigwigs to give Finidi more time to turn things around at the club.
" Finidi, within a short time has changed the football philosophy at Enyimba, and also injected a new winning mentality into the team. At the beginning of the season, and in the CAF Confederation Cup early rounds, Enyimba went a few games unbeaten.
"Not taking anything away from other NPFL teams, Enyimba is still one of the best teams in Nigeria. That they are struggling at the moment doesn't mean failure on the part of Finidi or his assistance.
" Same thing can happen to any coach in the NPFL. Like i do say, coaching in the NPFL is one of the toughest jobs in Nigeria.
" Finidi George will come good at Enyimba and i have so much respect for him. To be honest, Enyimba under Finidi George has been the toughest opponents we have faced this season,
" Ilechukwu said
It remains to be seen how Finidi intends to turn things around at the club having dropped more points away from home this season
