NPFL: 3SC in the market for quality signings
Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has said the club’s primary focus is on quality while recruiting new players.
The Oluyole Warriors have completed the signing of five players so far ahead of the 2023-24 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Ogunbote hinted that short and long-term plans are major factors considered in signing new players
“So far we have signed players with good quality,” he told DAILY POST in Ikenne.
“Our recruitments are factored on short and long-term plans.
“It’s a new team and we are working hard to achieve success with this club.”
Meanwhile, the Ibadan-based club has secured the services of a youngster, Ogundahunsola Ambrose.
Ambrose, who played for a Nationwide League One side, Adamimogo Football Club of Akure, last season, penned a two-year deal with the Oluyole Warriors.
Adamimogo FC, which was established just a year ago by a renowned man of God, Sam Olu Alo of the CAC Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain, played in the recently concluded NLO 1.
The player’s brilliant performance and exceptional skill was spotted during his team’s Federation Cup match defeat to Shooting Stars FC.
The young footballer was later invited by 3SC for trials during pre-season preparation for the 2023/2024 NPFL season.
He has been under the watchful eyes of Ogunbote and his crew.
