Nigeria vs Tunisia: Ndidi tips Super Eagles for victory again
Nigeria faces a depleted Tunisian side that is ravaged by injuries and Covid-19 on Sunday
Leicester City midfield sentinel, Wilfred Ndidi has revealed that Super Eagles will adopt the same approach and mentality that saw Nigeria pick nine points in the group stage when they confront Tunisia on Sunday.
Nigeria faces a depleted Tunisian side that is ravaged by injuries and Covid-19 with over six players set to miss the much-anticipated encounter at the Roumde Adjia Stadium, but Ndidi declared that Nigeria will play to win against The Carthage Eagles.
" Yeah, this is the reason we are here, we are here to compete. We are going to do everything possible to win the game. You heard what the coach just said: For us, it is going to be the same approach, the same mentality
He maintained that the current Super Eagles is made up of the same set of players that picked Bronze at the last AFCON in Egypt, but added that Eguavoen's coaching philosophy has been the key to success at the ongoing tournament.
" It's the same team, but different philosophy. Our current manager makes things simple for us," added the Leicester City midfielder.
"The coach gives us the push and freedom to express ourselves. That's the difference between 2019 and now.
Ndidi then showered encomium on the people of Garoua for their unalloyed support towards the Nigerian side, while describing the venue as an added advantage for the Super Eagles' quest to go all the way in the tournament.
"It's a big advantage for us. The people of Garoua have been supportive. They come out in large numbers to support us," he stated.
"You see them come out in large numbers to support us whenever we are playing. It's like we are playing in Nigeria
