Neymar wants to stay at PSG
Football star Neymar's future remains a mystery. After PSG's 3-0 win over Red Diamond, the Brazilian player and Christophe Galtier spoke to the media about his fate.
On the one hand, the No.10 confirmed that he wants to stay, though, on the other hand, his coach has made no assurances.
At the end of the pre-season match, RMC Sport picked up statements from the PSG coach where he touched on the subject of Neymar's future. Galtier assured that he knows nothing.
"I spoke about his situation at a press conference. After what will happen in the near future, when the transfer window closes, I don't know," Galtier explained.
"We announce he's leaving, we announce he's staying. I haven't had an individual interview with him on this aspect.
"But it doesn't seem to me that he is bothered by everything that can be said about him and his situation at the club, through training, and the joy he has in training."
The former Barcelona player spoke to the media after the match where he made it clear that he wants to stay at the club.
In passing he made it clear that the club has not communicated anything to him about a possible departure.
"I still want to stay at the club. So far the club hasn't said anything to me, so I don't know what their plans are for me," he said.
This, added to the statements of his coach, leave the door open to a possible exit this summer.
Galtier also spoke about the current situation of his goalkeepers as he made it clear that he will not make rotations.
He also confirmed that he has already spoken to Keylor Navas and already knows that he will be second choice and what he expects from him within the squad.
"Keylor? I was clear with the goalkeepers from the beginning, I don't want rotations and Navas knows what I expect from him as number two, even though I am aware of the frustration that this means for him," Galtier said.
"But for a club like PSG it is very important to have two good goalkeepers."
