Football legend Lionel Messi has confirmed that he will think about his future after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and whilst this was a comment aimed at his continuity with the Argentina national team, there are significant rumours that David Beckham hopes to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star and reunite him with Luis Suarez at Inter Miami.

Beckham founded the MLS club back in 2018 with the hopes of turning the Miami franchise into one of the cornerstones of the North American footballing landscape.

He has attempted to use his own popularity to tempt players to sign for the club, however, the club's aim is to become a world-renowned hotbed of talent.

Four years after creating the team, Beckham has put the framework in place to reunite one of modern football's most dynamic partnerships.

Barcelona's last Champions League win under Luis Enrique in 2015 was a quite phenomenal achievement, with the trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez being virtually unstoppable.

Messi joined Neymar at PSG last summer, but the team has struggled this term and has suffered catastrophic defeat after catastrophic defeat, with Messi even whistled by his own fans in the immediate aftermath of the club's Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

Messi and Suarez aren't the only players Beckham wants to sign from the Barcelona team of 2015, with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also of interest.

Inter Miami plan to sign all four of these players for the 2023/24 season, mainly due to the fact the players mentioned want to remain in Europe ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
