Arsenal's quick-fire start at the Vitality Stadium saw Mikel Arteta's side go one nil up against Bournemouth within the opening five minutes as captain Martin Odegaard scored his first goal of the game.

But the mazy run made by Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus in the build-up to the goal has impressed more than the simple finish did, with fans marvelling at the striker's majestic run.

The Arsenal number nine brought the ball under control with a beautiful touch before skipping past Bournemouth's Jefferson Lerma and another defender and sliding a through ball into Gabriel Martinelli who's shot rebounded into the path of Odegaard.

Jesus has made the headlines since making his summer switch from Manchester City, scoring two goals and getting two assists in Arsenal's 4-2 rout over Leicester.

Match-of-the-day presenter Gary Lineker credited Jesus for doing all the work in the build up to Arsenal's opening goal, comparing the 25-year-old to Argentinian Lionel Messi, saying: 'Jesus, who appears to have morphed into Messi'.

Some Arsenal fans took their compliments even further as they showed their appreciation for Jesus' divine creativity, with some comparing the forward to club legend Thierry Henry.

One emotional Gunners fan joked that Arsenal have 'finally got a real Brazilian' after Jesus - who was largely on the bench at Man City - created the opening for Odegaard's well-taken goal.

Arteta has deployed Jesus in his favoured central striking position for the first three games of the new Premier League season, with one fan highlighting his run as 'unreal number nine play' while another social media user labelled Jesus as 'out of this world'.

Arsenal's recent television show with Amazon was also used by fans reacting to Jesus' antics as a screenshot of Arteta addressing his players was edited to show a picture of the Brazilian and was captioned: 'Gabriel Jesus is Henry reborn'.

Jamie Redknapp lauded the striker as 'amazing' when speaking about Jesus at half time:

'He's electric and when you want your striker to be a focal point, come in and make your impact, that is exactly what he has done. The strength he shows is phenomenal. It's beautiful.

'He's like an electric eel he is so quick and strong. He has transformed the team and given them so much quality.

'It is such an upgrade from Lacazette and Aubameyang and the team are looking at him going, that's what you want from your striker,' said Redknapp.
