With his victory on Saturday, Adeleye has moved to 9-0 as he stopped the rotund Healey in the fourth round.

Nigeria born heavyweight contender David Adeleye on Saturday made good his promise to knock out Chris Healey in front 94,000 cheering crowd at the Wembley Stadium.

The duo bout was an undercard in the Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte heavyweight title fight which Tyson won in the sixth round.

With his victory on Saturday, Adeleye has moved to 9-0 as he stopped the rotund Healey in the fourth round.

Adeleye was happy to take his time as he generally beat Healey to the punch and slowed the heavier man down.

Early in the fourth, a left, then a right landed cleanly, knocking Healey’s head back and leading to referee Chas Coakley stopping the fight at 0:52 of the round.

Before the fight  Adeleye had vowed to knockout Healey.

Born in London in 1996 to Nigerian parents, Adeleye is regarded as Britain’s latest heavyweight prospect and has been a key member of Fury’s training camp for Whyte’s bout.

Adeleye –has also trained with former unified heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua – has been tipped by many to make a fast rise up the heavyweight ranks.

Adeleye dreams of fighting for the British and Commonwealth titles.

He said, “Whichever belt comes first is the one I go for. I’ll take all of them.

“I want to get in the history books as a world heavyweight champion, and deliver some of the biggest fight nights for British boxing.”
