Chelsea are still reportedly one of the clubs in the race to sign Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, as unrealistic as that sounds right now.
Chelsea will be without Champions League football, and they also have to watch their further spending due to FFP rules. So spending what could be over £100m on Osimhen, seems pretty unrealistic to me right now.
However, Sky Germany continues to link Chelsea with a move for the Serie A striker. He even goes as far to say that Chelsea are one of the ‘more concrete’ clubs leading the race to sign Osimhen, over PSG and Bayern Munich.
News #Osimhen: Understand that #PSG is not the hottest option for him at this stage. Despite of the fact that Paris bosses are pushing for him a lot. It’s more concrete with clubs like #CFC and #MUFC.
At ManUtd: It’s an internal race between Kolo Muani and Osimhen.
Again, I wouldn’t get too excited about this report if you’re a Chelsea fan, it seems very far-fetched that Chelsea will land him even if their interest is serious.
Long way to go with this saga yet of course, but Napoli will be encouraging a bidding war for sure.
