Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has revealed Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will return to the pitch in the next three weeks.

Ndidi sustained an injury, while on international duty with Nigeria and aggravated it during Leicester City’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on October 3.

The 25-year-old was replaced at half-time by France midfielder, Boubacar Soumare.

Rodgers stated that Ndidi will miss this weekend’s home clash against Crystal Palace as a result of a hamstring issue but will be back in action soon.

“He’ll probably be a few weeks. When he came off, we were looking at about three weeks,” Rodgers told reporters.

” We think it’ll be around that period of time from last week.”

Ndidi missed the latter part of the 2021/22 campaign due to injury.

Meanwhile Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun went off injured in Queens Park Rangers’ Championship tie at Luton Town on Saturday.

QPR were forced into an early change in the 14th minute after Balogun picked up the undisclosed injury and was replaced by Osman Kakay.

It was the former Rangers defender’s sixth league game for QPR.

And just four minutes after Balogun’s substitution QPR conceded the first goal of the game as Elijah Adebayo got on the score sheet for Luton.

With 13 minutes left to play Luton doubled their lead following an own goal by Jimmy Dunne.

In the 91st minute QPR pulled a goal back after Ethan Horvath put the ball into his own net.

But in the 93rd minute Luton got their third thanks to Luke Freeman.

The defeat leaves QPR in fourth place on 24 points after 14 league games played so far this season.
