Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina has revealed that he is much more determined to propel Torino to greater heights in the Italian Serie this season after his proposed move to Leeds United went up in flames.
Speaking to 234sportsng.com, the former Chelsea youngster said his attention is now shifted towards helping his Italian club punch above its weight in the league and most importantly win laurel after his AFCON dream ended in the second round.
He maintained that lesson learned at the Africa football fiesta will help reshape his football and career in his quest to keep improving as a footballer.
" I'm still a Torino player, and my focus is to help the club reach a greater height, that is what I'm paid to do.
" I will keep working hard and hopefully the experience gained at AFCON will help my game a great deal," he told 234sportsng.com in Garoua.
The Nigerian youngster was tipped to join Leeds United in the January transfer window, but coach Ivan Juric and Torino eggheads poured cold water on the deal after Mohamed Fares cropped up a long-term injury, which eventually depleted the squad.
TorinoGranata.it reported that Aina returned to Torino last Thursday after Nigeria crashed out of the competition in the second round.
Aina is expected to remain at the club till the end of the season as the club battle to above the drop zone at end of the season
