2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Super Eagles opponent Zimbabwe will play home matches in Kigali

The Warriors of Zimbabwe will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria at Kigali Pele Stadium on Monday, November 20.

Rufaru Sports Stadium as well as Barboufields which are the two national stadiums of Zimbabwe all failed to meet FIFA standards and cannot host the match against Nigeria.

FIFA ordered the game to be played on a neutral ground and the Zimbabwean Football Federation chose Kigali Pele Stadium which has been approved by the world football governing body.

Zimbabwe will open their account in an away game against Rwanda at Kigali Pele Stadium on November 13 and they will stay behind to welcome Nigeria at the same venue seven days later.

Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Nigeria, South Africa, and Benin are in Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers which begins in November.
