2023 Lagos Supremacy Cup receives Dino, SGFC's support

More support is coming the way of the 2023 Lagos Supremacy Cup as owners of Dino SC and SGFC Athletics have lent their hand of support towards the successful hosting of the 18th edition of the talent scouting competition. 

The enterprising owner of the team, Dino SC Mr Samuel Omamofe Columbus revealed that he will be refreshing the competition with one hundred packs of table water. 

In a statement via the Official WhatsApp Platform of the tournament, Mr Columbus wrote, that in our support for this year's Lagos Supremacy Cup, we would be donating 100 packs of table water to the organisers for the tourney. Please accept our token of support.

The brain behind Lagos Supremacy Cup and CEO of 36 Lion Investment, Hajj Liameed Gafar, added: "We are always looking to join forces with exciting and forward-thinking brands. Dino SC falls comfortably into that category. 

"Mr Columbus is a lifelong partner of Lagos Supremacy Cup and it's fantastic we can keep this in the family. I'm sure clubs will love the water and we are excited to see that this competition is on the lips of people in the grassroots."

In the same vein, SGFC Athletics President, Mr Richard "Zico" Opanuga also boosted the competition with a financial donation of five hundred thousand naira.

The American-based businessman said he is committing his financial resources to the competition, which is scheduled to come up at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos from November 14 to 17, 2023 in appreciation of the opportunity the competition has been providing for players to advance their careers. 

"I want to express my satisfaction with the tournament which has proven to be the farm for clubs to plant crops," he mused to the Media on Monday.

" Supremacy Cup has become a tournament which gives foreign scouts the chance to pick players for contracts abroad. The likes of Yira Sor (Genk), Solomon Agbalaka (Sochi) and Moses Usor (LASK) are some of the discoveries of the tourney in the past." 

"This is a massive boost for the teams as well as the Lagos Supremacy Cup, so I'll continue to give my support to the organizers of the tournament." 

12 teams are expected to light up this year's edition of the competition starting from November 17th, 2023.

It is a platform that has been consistently giving an opportunity to exciting budding talents to showcase their before scouts, both foreign and local, with the sole aim of advancing their careers.
