Paris 2024: LOC set up 'Anti-sex' beds at the Olympic Games Village

The 'anti-sex' cardboard beds have already arrived at the Paris Olympic Village ahead of the 2024 Games. This format, which aims to enhance the rest of the athletes, was used for the first time during Tokyo 2020.

It is not only the bed structure that is peculiar, given it is made of cardboard, but also the materials used for the cushions and mattress. The beds are made up of three pieces, each with different firmness, from harder to softer.

These pieces are interchangeable and reusable. Meanwhile, to decide on the perfect fit for each athlete, the Olympians will have a special app.

With it, they will be able to find out, based on their weight and height, the perfect combination of these three cushions.

The beds have already arrived in Paris following success in Tokyo. The system has impressed in maximizing the rest of the athletes.

But ultimately it will be the athletes who, after the Olympics, definitively assess the feasibility of this curious system going forward.
