UFC fighter Alex Pereira has added extra spice to his UFC middleweight championship fight against reigning champion Israel Adesanya by mocking his recent training video.

Adesanya, nicknamed The Last Stylebender, posted a video on his YouTube channel FreestyleBender of him training to be sharper by completing several drills including dodging a tennis ball thrown at him.

In response his rival, Pereira, who has risen through the UFC ranks with some impressive performances, was seen training on a hoverboard.

Adesanya is defending his middleweight title for the seventh time at UFC 281 against Pereira at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, November 12.

UFC reporter Alex Behunin posted the video of the Brazilian sparring on a hoverboard with the caption: "Alex Pereira fires back at Israel Adesanya’s tennis ball training."

He then quoted the Brazilian form kickboxer stating: "Training with a tennis ball is easy! I want to see him train boxing on a hoverboard.”

Explaining why he was using a tennis ball in training Adesanya, aged 33, said: "I'm testing and improving my reaction time. I'm getting older so I have to keep my reaction time up by doing this kind of training just to keep my eyes sharp."
