NPFL: Titiloye warns Kwara United players and coaches as Lobi eyes continental ticket
Kwara United Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye has charged the technical crew and players of the club to improve on their performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Titiloye warned that sanctions would be imposed on the entire team if the result does improve.
Kwara United have recorded two wins, three draws and three defeats in eight matches this season.
Kabiru Dogo’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Shooting Stars at home on Sunday.
Kwara United currently occupy 14th position on the NPFL table with nine points.
The Harmony Boys will entertain Bendel Insurance next at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Elsewhere, Lobi Stars defender, Sunday Chinedu, has revealed that the club’s target is to secure a continental ticket at the end of the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.
The Markurdi-based outfit is topping the NPFL table with 17 points.
Lobi Stars defeated Sporting Lagos 1-0 at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.
Chinedu got the lone goal for Eugene Agagbe’s side.
The former Kano Pillars player expressed confidence in the team’s ability to maintain their position on the summit.
“Our utmost priority is to secure a continental ticket at the end of the season,” he said in a post-match interview.
“We have started a good move and we are hard to achieve it. We believe we are going to maintain our position on the table.”
