Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has released funds to the NPFL side, Kano Pillars FC, our correspondent gathered.

An impeccable source informed pyramidsportsnews.com that the state government has doled out funds to the club to ease its financial burden.

Also in a press release issued on Thursday, the media officer of the club, Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu confirmed that the state government has released some funds to the club.

Lurwanu said “ Kano state government has released N10 million to Kano Pillars football club recently.

He said “This was disclosed by the Chairman of the club Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya Jambul after Kano Pillars Fc, on Match Day 25 beat Sunshine Stars football club by a lone goal, in the ongoing 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season at MKO Abiola Stadium Abuja.

He further added that “ Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya Jambul said the money would be used for three matches including the match that Pillars Fc defeated Sunshine Stars Fc by one-nil in Abuja.

“The Chairman then thanked Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his untiring financial and moral support to the team.


“He said the money would be used judiciously in order to save the situation of the team currently.
