Serie A giants Napoli are not desperate to sell Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen again thanks to their qualification for the UEFA Champions League and expected multi-million pounds windfall.

Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that with Napoli qualifying for the Champions League, it will bank the southern club up to £47.7m and ease the pressure to sell Osimhen, who has interested many clubs from the English Premier League.

Meanwhile, French football champion Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sign Osimhen, to replace Kylian Mbappe, GFFN reports.

Mbappe’s current deal with the 10-time Ligue 1 champions expires at the end of this season.

The 23-year-old has seen his stock rise at the Parc des Princes since he arrived from Monaco.

Mbappe has scored 167 times and provided 84 assists in 214 appearances for PSG.

However, the Frenchman could leave this summer and has been strongly linked with Real Madrid.

PSG have their sights set on 23-year-old Osimhen to replace Mbappe.

Osimhen has been outstanding for Napoli since he joined from Lille two years ago.

The Super Eagles star is enjoying his best season ever, notching 17 goals and six assists in 29 appearances.

Newcastle United also want to sign  Osimhen and are willing to offer Napoli’s Serie A hitman £150,000-a-week in an attempt to fight off Premier League rivals Arsenal, according to Calciomercato.

“Osimhen is instinctive. He has exceptional instincts that dictate his movements,” Italian reporter Mario Sconcerti tells Tuttomercatoweb.

“I think he is stronger than (Roma’s England international Tammy) Abraham. Abraham is a mile above normal but I see something exceptional in Osimhen.”

Arsenal also have set their sights on the former Lille talisman after missing out on Dusan Vlahovic to Juventus.

“Osimhen is stronger than (Dusan) Vlahovic,” says Serie A legend Alessandro Altobelli. “In this moment, he is enjoying great growth. And, for me, he is better than Vlahovic.”

Arsenal do have one big advantage over Newcastle, however, in the shape of European football. Osimhen is reportedly uncertain about swapping Naples for Newcastle, with Champions League – or at least Europa League – action on offer elsewhere
