Wilfred Ndidi may not have many goals to his name but he made sure he got one on Thursday night to mark his 200th appearance for Leicester City across all competitions.

The Nigerian midfielder set the tone as the Foxes romped to a comprehensive 4-1 win over Randers in the first leg of their Europa Conference League knockout round playoff tie.

Ndidi's goal came in the 23rd minute off an assist from his compatriot, Ademola Lookman.

Though Randers responded with an equaliser after Ndidi’s opener deep into the first half, the Foxes overpowered their opponents in the second half; scoring three unreplied goals.

Leicester City retook the lead five minutes into the second half through Harvey Barnes and five minutes later, the hosts extended their advantage through Zambian goal poacher Patson Daka.

The Foxes extinguished any hope of a Randers comeback in the 74th minute off another assist from Lookman who teed up Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to roll in Leicester’s fourth of the night

Leicester City travels to Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux Stadium for a Premier League clash on Sunday before the second leg of their play-off encounter with Randers on Thursday.

The winners of the tie will advance into the last-16 of the competition.
