Former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson described cannabis as "the best thing" that's ever happened to him

Tyson continues to be known for his honesty. Former boxing heavyweight champion attended the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Miami and turned himself into an ambassador of the substance by qualifying it as the best thing that's ever happened to him.

"All you have to do is ask my wife and my kids: would they rather have me around the house on cannabis or would they rather have me in the house without cannabis. And you would get a sweeping, 'let's smoke cannabis'",Mike Tyson pronounced as his opening words.

As a former athlete who was constantly involved in controversies, Tyson explained that his behavior and his approach to every single problem in his life has improved thanks to the cannabis. "The best thing that ever happened to me... that I started doing this again", he said.

The former boxing heavyweight champion also remarked the fact of social perception of cannabis. "Just because it was illegal at the time, I believed it would be bad for society. So I couldn't do it. You had to hide it. It was secretive. And now it's a driving force to a new way of living, a new way of life and a new understanding to find out who we are", Mike Tyson reflected.

Nowadays cannabis use has change in the eye of the American people, as well as being a constant debate in terms of legalization, and that's why celebrities and former athletes like Mike Tyson feel the need to raise their voice...

In order to keep eliminating any stigmas around the subject, the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference will continue its cause in Chicago on September.
