Liverpool ready to pay €150 million for Real Madrid star Federico Valverde

Over the past few days, there have been a lot of rumours flying around linking Liverpool to several Real Madrid players.

The Reds are understood to be looking at Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Jr. as potential attacking reinforcements, as they expect a domino effect following Kylian Mbappe’s summer arrival.

Now, a fresh report from El Debate states that another Real Madrid star is high on the wishlist of the Premier League heavyweights.

Indeed, as per the aforementioned outlet, Liverpool are huge admirers of Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde.

The Merseyside giants see the Uruguayan international as a ‘dream’ target and have sent a mammoth €150 million offer for him through international intermediaries.

The offer remains on the table as Liverpool have had a long-standing interest in Valverde, with Jurgen Klopp having set his sights on the midfield superstar ever since he became a regular starter for the Merengues.

Despite the continued and strong interest from Liverpool, Valverde has always maintained that he wants to stay at Real Madrid and the stance has not changed.

The midfielder is a permanent fixture for Carlo Ancelotti in the team and signed a new long-term contract with the club until 2029 last year, which includes a €1 billion release clause.

It shows the mutual feeling between Real Madrid and Valverde to continue their partnership for as long as possible.

As such, the interest from Liverpool and their alleged mega offer worth €150 million is unlikely to lead to anything this summer.
