Italian agent Andrea D’Amico believes Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is ‘better’ than Erling Haaland and predicts the Napoli centre forward could join PSG if Leo Messi leaves.

D’Amico is not Osimhen’s agent but is a well-known figure in the world of football, representing several current and former Serie A players, including Juventus‘ Sebastian Giovinco and Nicolò Fagioli.

Speaking about Osimhen during an interview with the radio program Tutti Convocati, D’Amico said: “Right now, he is the best striker in the world, even better than Haaland. But assessments regarding the market will be made in the summer.”

So, which could be the possible destination for the Nigeria international?

“I think he won’t lack options, especially in England even if PSG can’t be underestimated, because they could lose an important player in attack. I think Messi will go to Miami, but this is only my feeling.”

Osimhen is the current Serie A leading scorer with 21 goals in 23 appearances. Overall, he has netted 25 goals in 29 games across all competitions this term.

The 24-year-old sustained a muscle injury while on international duty with Nigeria last week, missing Sunday’s home game against Milan, lost 4-0 by the Partenopei.

Osimhen underwent treatment at Castelvolturno on Wednesday , and according to Sky Sport Italia, Friday will be a key date to know whether the Nigeria international will be available in the Champions League next week.

The Partenopei meet Milan again in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final at San Siro on April 12, but Osimhen remains in doubt for the game.

Napoli confirmed on Tuesday that their star striker underwent therapies in the morning at the club’s training centre in Castel Volturno.

According to Sky Sport Italia, this means the 24-year-old won’t be available against Lecce on Friday when the Partenopei visit Lecce at the Stadio Via Del Mare.

Friday will also be a key date to know whether Osimhen will be available against Milan next week. Napoli’s correspondent Massimo Ugolini maintains that the Partenopei will ‘need a miracle’ to have the striker back against the Rossoneri at San Siro.
