Donald Trump earns incredible $555 million from golf course in 15 months

The 45th U.S. President earns over $555 million in 15 months from luxurious golf portfolio, surpassing previous records

Despite facing scrutiny from the Department of Justice, the 45th U.S. President, Donald Trump, has been making headlines for his rising popularity in the polls and his significant achievements in the world of golf.

Known for his strong association with the golfing world and an impressive portfolio of 17 luxurious courses, Trump's ventures in the sport have proven to be highly profitable. According to Sportico's analysis of his most recent Federal Election Commission Disclosure, Trump has reportedly earned an astonishing sum of 'as much as $555 million between January 2022 and April 14, 2023.' This massive income contributed to the polarizing former President's overall earnings of $1.2 billion during that period, more than doubling the $237 million he accrued in the calendar year 2020.

Eric Trump, the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, expressed pride in the company's achievements, stating, 'We have the most spectacular and iconic assets anywhere in the world, and as a company, we have never been stronger.' The lucrative revenue from Trump's golf courses primarily comes from his ownership, along with "management or licensing interests," extending beyond mere membership and admission fees.

Leading the pack in terms of income generation was Trump's Doral, FL. course, raking in an enormous $159.3 million over the 15-month period, closely followed by Turnberry in Scotland, which brought in $52 million, and Bedminster, N.J., amassing $46.2 million.

In addition to his golf empire's financial success, Trump has also made headlines for his vocal support of LIV Golf, the Saudi-backed breakaway league. Trump's courses have been the venue for multiple LIV Golf events in recent years, including the upcoming $50 million season-ending team championship set to take place at Trump's National Doral Golf Club on October 20-22.

However, Trump's association with the golf world has not been without controversy. The expansive Doral Golf Club recently hosted Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer's charity golf event, which faced initial cancellation due to sponsors objecting to its occurrence at a Trump-owned locale. Nonetheless, the event was later allowed to proceed, drawing attention to the complex intersection of sports and politics.

Despite his involvement in various golf events and the financial success of his courses, Trump has not shied away from getting his hands dirty on the greens. Filmed recently at the Los Angeles Country Club, the former President was seen enjoying a round of golf, a pastime he continues to cherish even amidst political discussions and legal challenges.

As the 2024 Republican presidential candidate, Trump's continued popularity in both the political and golfing spheres is undeniable. Regardless of the controversies surrounding him, the businessman-turned-politician remains a force to be reckoned with, attracting attention both on the polls and the golf course.
