Former England international and Nigeria-born Dele Alli enjoyed an expensive night of partying with seven friends just hours before he was pictured surrounded by laughing gas canisters, according to reports.

The Besiktas player, who has undergone a stunning fall from grace since his exit from Tottenham, is believed to have spent the evening at a nightclub before returning to a girl's flat with his friends during the early hours of the morning.

Earlier this week, the 27-year-old star shocked the football world as pictures emerged of him surrounded by nitrous oxide canisters.

The picture, which was shared on social media and claimed to show Alli inside a flat in Salford, revealed the footballer with a balloon in his mouth next to giant bottles of laughing gas.

It is understood Alli and his friends also splashed out £6,000 on champagne and tequila at the club the night before.

According to The Sun, Alli returned to the flat in Salford at 4am with four women and three men after their trip to Chinawhite in Manchester.

It is believed at least one of the girls who went back to the flat with Alli works at the nightclub.

The seven friends squeezed on to a bed and posed for a selfie while Alli, who is in a relationship with Sports Illustrated model Cindy Kimberly, 24, attempted to obscure his face with his hand.

The footballer, who celebrated his 27th birthday on April 11, was seen on the bed donning the same cap he wore while surrounded by the laughing gas canisters the next morning.

Reflecting on the night, a source told The Sun: 'Dele was having a great time drinking with his mates at the club.

'They had a booth and the girls were serving them. They went back to one of the girls' apartments and partied on until morning.'

The outlet revealed that art student Niamh Saunders, 20, had shared the photograph of Alli's friends on Instagram.

Alli, who joined Besiktas on loan from Everton at the start of the campaign, suffered a season-ending injury last week, calling an end to a turbulent spell in Turkey.

Having once starred for Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final and England in their 2018 World Cup semi-final against Croatia, Alli was once viewed as one of the brightest stars of the future.

But after falling out of favour in north London under former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, the attacking midfielder joined Everton on a free transfer in January 2022 and subsequently failed to make his mark at Goodison Park.
