Chelsea's incoming boss Mauricio Pochettino has approved a swap deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Pochettino has reportedly given his blessing to a potential swap deal that would see Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana move to Stamford Bridge and a Chelsea star go in the opposite direction.

The Argentine is set to take over from interim boss Frank Lampard and plans are already underway as his squad looks to be overhauled after a disappointing season.

Pochettino is said to have already identified key areas to be improved upon at Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window, as they are targeting a marquee number nine and a new goalkeeper.

Edouard Mendy has fallen behind Kepa Arrizabalaga in the pecking order, despite being brought back into the fray against Nottingham Forest - only to make an error that led to the visitors’ first goal in the 2-2 draw.

Onana’s performances in the Champions League have helped Inter reach the final against Manchester City, keeping eight clean sheets in Europe this campaign, with Chelsea clearly watching on and impressed by his performances.

InterLive have claimed that Chelsea want to sign the Cameroon stopper this summer, but amid Financial Fair Play concerns and an impending fire sale due to Todd Boehly and co’s mass spending in the previous two windows - the Blues are looking at ways to bring down the price tag.

Also, seven Chelsea players are reportedly set to receive the green light to depart Stamford Bridge this summer when Pochettino arrives at the club.

According to The Evening Standard, a host of stars are already being lined up for exits and current Transfermarkt valuations suggest they could raise Chelsea up to £136million.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the first Chelsea player likely to make way as he will be deemed surplus to requirements at the end of the season after just one campaign with the Blues. He is valued at just £6m.

Barcelona are thought to be interested in signing the Gabon international, who was never keen on departing the Catalan giants in the first place.

Midfielder Mateo Kovacic is also heading for the exit door as Chelsea have failed to agree a new contract with the Croatian, who has just over 12 months remaining on his current deal.

Kovacic - tracked by Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich - could generate big cash as he is valued at £34.7m while Christian Pulisic could recoup Chelsea £27.7m this summer.

The USMNT international has endured another rough season on a personal level having found the net just once in 21 Premier League outings.

Hakim Ziyech is also heading for the exit door after nearly joining Paris Saint-Germain on loan in January and the Moroccan is estimated to net Chelsea £15.6m.

Goalkeeper Mendy is also heading for the exit door with Tottenham rumoured to be interested in his services.

The Senegalese Champions League winner is valued at £15.6m - the same as current team-mate Ziyech - as he seeks to get his career back on track following a frustrating season battling injuries.

Callum Hudson-Odoi's value has plummeted since his underwhelming loan spell in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen where he currently plays under Xabi Alonso.

The 22-year-old has failed to score in 14 Bundesliga outings and has only netted once in all competitions this season as he prepares to return to Chelsea.

It's claimed he is only worth £14.7m nowadays while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is believed to be worth £21.7m.

The midfielder is thought to be in talks over a move to AC Milan which could prove to be one of Chelsea's first exits of the window if it does indeed materialise.

There could yet be further casualties as Pochettino prepares to crack the whip at Chelsea where big changes are required to get their aspirations back on track following a dismal campaign.

Chelsea are currently on course to finish outside of the European qualification spots meaning they face an uphill battle trying to convince transfer targets to join the club.
