"We are expecting a tough game" these are the immediate response of Rivers United coach, Stanley Eguma when he was asked about what Rivers United's expectations were on Sunday's CAF Confederation Cup, CAFCC, clash with Asec Mimosa.

The coach was answering questions during the press parley ahead of the group B encounter on Saturday in Uyo, where he revealed that Asec Mimosa will be a tough customer but his boys are well prepared to get the needed victory as they have perfected their strategies ahead of the tough encounter.

“We are expecting a very tough game and as a matter of fact, we have to be ready and we are perfecting our strategy,” Eguma told the press.

The coach said the team is in great shape but the failure of the strikers to convert the numerous chances that came their way caused their 3-0 loss in their opening group match last weekend in Congo against Diables Noir.

He went on to give assurance that all the errors noticed in the first match had been corrected and the team will come out victorious at the end of the ninety minutes today in Uyo.

The match is billed for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium by 4 pm.

Rivers United needed a victory to bounce back to the reckoning and brighten their chances of picking one of the quarter-finals tickets for the group.

The team is currently occupying the rear position on the log with zero points, and minus three goals.

Their opponent, Asec Mimosa played 0-0, in their first game against DC Motema Pembe in Abidjan last week to sit online in second position with DC Motema Pembe while Diable Noirs leads the group with 3 points and 3 goals after matchday one.
