Nine matches have been scheduled for today, Sunday, as, the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL will embark on the first half after the completion of today's matches which coincides with matchday 9 of the abridged league.

These completed matches complete the first stanza of the league as teams will go on break and will resume after the 2023 general elections. 

Top of the bill ahead of this finale of the first stanza is Bendel Insurance hosting Enyimba FC at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium

Bendel Insuraare still topping Group A with 20 points following its midweek victory over bottom-placed Nasarawa United while Enyimba with 16 points is eyeingwinir 3rd straight win on the bounce to close the gap between them and the Benin Arsenals on top of the league. 

Plateau United w also be looking forward to another super outing after scoring goals on matchday eight away to Gombe United to put further advance their chances of making the Super six cut.

Akwa United are back in contention for a top finish after a series of good results after their opening day in Uyo and will seek to consolidate on Sunday against Shooting Stars of Ibadan while the Oluyole Warriors will also look for an advanced home win to adadvanceheir position on the log and go into break putting smiles on the faces of their fans in Ibadan and beyond. 

It's going to be a direct fight to escape relegation between El Kanemi Warriors and Kwara United as both teams are currently struggling to get out of the relegation zone and a win for eiin their side will come hain day for both teams. 

Sunshine Stars will open for a maximum thof ree points against Wikki Tourists as tisAkure based team is fancied to pick all three points at stake.

In Group B,  Bayelsa United will host Rangers, and only a win will be good for the struggling club while Rangers International will be putting everything into the match to pick the point as the Flying Antelopes are closer to the bottom of the log than to the top.

Lobi Stars will be attempting to consolidate their top position as they host Doma United while Rivers United are on bye due to CAF Confederation Cup duties.
