Alex Iwob'si reminiscence on Wizkid's show of affection to him when he was a ‘nobody’

Super Eagles and Fulham playmaker Alex Iwobi over the weekend talked about Whizkid's show of love to him when he wasn't famous

In an interview with Oma Sports TV, the footballer shared his admiration for Wizkid.

He said the singer has always shown him love, even before they became well acquainted.

He added that Wizkid is someone he has so much respect for.

“Wizkid’s show at Tottenham stadium is my favourite Nigerian show, I really enjoyed myself. I did not get to meet him that day. But I have met him previous times and he is a very nice and very humble guy,” he said.

“The first time I met him, he showed me love when he first met me even though he did not know who I was at the time.

“I have seen him in stores and even in the club as well, and he has always shown me so much love. He is someone that I really respect.”

Iwobi’s football career began at Arsenal, where he honed his skills and established himself as a formidable player.

Currently, he serves as a midfielder for Premier League club Fulham and the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national team.

Wizkid, on the other hand, has firmly established himself as one of the prominent names in the African music industry, with a slew of awards and accolades.
