UD Almeria forward, Sadiq Umar maintained that he would rather prefer to remain in Spain than fancy a move elsewhere next summer, 234sportsng.com can report.
In a chat with 234sportsng.com, the former Glasgow Rangers flop hinged his submission on styles of play in the Spanish Laliga, which he claims suites his football. '
He disclosed further that his decision to turn down offers from European heavyweights like Bayern Munich and Manchester City stems from his readiness to remain in Spain and develop his game.
" I enjoyed Spanish football a lot because it helps you develop your game. I had offers to move to bigger clubs like Bayern and Man City, but I would rather remain in Spain for now and grow into a finished product before moving(smiles)," he told 234sportsng.com
The towering striker has been one of the shining lights at UD Almeria after his goals ensured that the Andalusian side punches above its weights in the Spanish Segunda division.
He has scored nine goals this season and will be instrumental in Almeria's promotion push to Laliga next season.
Almeria occupies the third spot in the log with 46 points from 24 matches behind second-place Valladolid ( 47 points)and Eibar (49 points).

It would be recalled that the Kaduna-born striker eventually fits into coach Austin Eguavoen's style of play at AFCON after his initial struggles to jell with the team and was unlucky not to score against Tunisia in the second round.
His only goal of the tournament came against Guinea Bissau in Nigeria 3-1 triumph over The Djurtus in Group D final game in Garoua.
