Pogba wants embattled Greenwood in Juventus

According to reports in England, Paul Pogba is trying to help engineer a move to Juventus for Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood, after Milan and Roma interest.

SunSport claim that France international Pogba is personally encouraging the various parties to reach an agreement, having played with Greenwood in Manchester.

The situation around the 21-year-old is a difficult one, as he was frozen out in January 2022 when he was arrested and later charged with attempted rape, assault plus controlling and coercive behaviour and actual bodily harm.

Those charges were dropped in February 2023, but it was reported the other Manchester United players were still not ready to welcome him back into the squad.

A fresh start abroad might be recommended, and after Milan and Roma were linked, now it seems Juventus are eager to give the England international a chance.

Greenwood has one senior cap for England, earned in September 2020, and is under contract with Manchester United until June 2025.

He has 35 goals and 12 assists in 129 games for the senior squad.
