The Nigeria U23 men's national football team is back in the country after Guinea ousts the team from the 2023 U23 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, www.234sportsng.com reports.

Nigeria lost to Guinea by 2-0 in the return leg of the final round of qualification for the AFCON in Morrocco losing 2-0 on aggregate having played goalless in Abuja in the first leg.
The result knocked Nigeria out of the race for the 2024 Olympics men's football event in Paris as the top 3 teams from the U23 AFCON will represent Africa at the event in Paris.
Thehasm has been greatly criticized by Nigerians for their inability to see off their Guinean counterparts in the qualification series while many have called for the head of the coach, Salisu Yusuf.
