Super Eagles striker Victor and Edorado De Laurentiis were reported to be in rage after Napoli’s 3-2 defeat by Empoli.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Aurelio De Laurentiis’ son Edoardo was so furious after Empoli‘s 3-2 win over Napoli that he repeatedly hit and kicked the lockers inside the dressing room and confronted the players.

The Partenopei’s title hopes vanished on Sunday following a 3-2 loss against Empoli at the Stadio Castellani.

Luciano Spalletti’s men collapsed in the last ten minutes, conceding three goals. The players have been sent to a permanent training retreat until the end of the season, starting from Tuesday.

La Gazzetta dello Sport described the scenes inside the dressing room at the Castellani, reporting that vice president Edoardo De Laurentiis repeatedly hit and kicked the lockers inside the dressing room after the final whistle and confronted some of the players.

Alex Meret, who cost Napoli the second goal scored by Andrea Pinamonti, was sitting holding his head on his hands.

A few minutes earlier, just before entering the tunnel, Osimhen wanted to confront Napoli fans who had been booing players. According to the report, the Nigeria international was unhappy with the supporters’ reaction and wanted to discuss with them, but was convinced by Juan Jesus to make his way to the dressing room without saying a word.
