Neymar season is over
Neymar injury

PSG superstar Neymar will have to undergo surgery. According to PSG, the Brazilian striker will miss the remainder of the season.

"Neymar Jr has had several bouts of instability in his right ankle in recent years. After his last sprain on 20 February, the Paris Saint-Germain medical staff recommended a ligament repair operation to avoid a greater risk of recurrence. All the experts consulted confirmed this need," read a PSG medical report.

"This surgery will take place in the next few days at the ASPETAR Hospital in Doha. He is expected to miss 3 to 4 months before returning to collective training."

Neymar sprained his ankle playing against Lille on 19 February and had to be substituted in the 51st minute on a stretcher. Just a few days earlier, the Brazilian had started and played the entire first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich.

It seemed that this was going to be the year in which he was going to be respected at this time of the season, but in the end the Brazilian succumbed to another injury.
