Nigeria International and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has termed his adductor injury which knocks him out of today's Serie A fixture as " Nothing too serious " and he is expected to be back for the same fixture in the UEFA Champions League in 10 days. 


Victor Osimhen was declared unfit to play in the Italian Serie A cracker between Napoli and AC Milan after he picked up an adductor during the international break with Nigeria scam reports now confirmed the extent of the injury which was feared might keep Napoli's talisman out of action for many weeks.

Speaking after the scan Osimhen said:  ‘I’ve been told I will be there.’ 

“It is nothing serious, but I want to take these 10-12 days to rest and recover, I am convinced that I will be on the pitch against Milan,” Osimhen told TG5.

Napoli will play against AC Milan in the Champions League quarter-finals as the first leg is at San Siro on April 12, then the decider at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on April 18.

The Partenopei are aiming for a great domestic season as they are on the verge of winning the title for the first in 33 years.

Napoli is the favorite and will be looking to defeat the San Siro over two legs to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League league for the first ever.

Victor Osimhen has been leading the team's challenge for a superb season with 25 goals in 27 games.
