Titiloye Kumbi has been restored as the Chairman of Kwara United FC seven days after he was relieved from the same post.


The reappointment was announced on Wednesday, 19th of July, 2023 to the delight of the many fans of the Afonja Warriors.


The intrigue and tension reached a fever pitch as many Kwarans were anxious about who will take the mantle of leadership from Kumbi and do an effective job but the cap fits no one else apart from Kumbi, a fan opines.


Meanwhile, the Kwara State Sports Commission has joined the deluge of congratulatory messages that have greeted the appointment of Titiloye Kumbi.

A statement signed by the Executive Chairman, Coach Bola Mogaji forwarded by the media officer Yusuf Feruke said his reappointment shows the government's appreciation of  Mr Titiloye's effort in piloting the Club affairs since assuming office.


The Sports Commission boss urged the Chairman to put in more effort and raise the Club's standard to the next level and wished him more success ahead of the coming season.

 
Kwara United's qualification for the CAF Confederation is one of the highlights of the success recorded by Kumbi during his last stint as Chairman of the club.
