Jordan says he disapprove of son's relationship with Pippen's ex-wife Larsa

NBA legend Michael Jordan does not approve of his son Marcus' relationship with former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen's ex-wife, Larsa.

Jordan and Pippen won four NBA Championships together between 1987 and 1998 but there's no love lost between the pair, with the latter taking shots at the iconic shooting guard in recent years over his portrayal in the Netflix-ESPN documentary, The Last Dance. Pippen also hit out at Jordan in his 2021 memoir, Unguarded, further burying the ex-Bulls teammates' relationship.

However, despite not being on the best of terms, Jordan and Pippen appear to agree on one thing: Neither approves of Marcus' relationship with Scottie's now ex-wife Larsa. Pippen was married to Larsa from 1997 until 2021, but the Real Housewives of Miami star is now dating MJ's son, Marcus, in a shocking twist.

Larsa and Marcus met four years ago when they were introduced to each other in Los Angeles through a friend. Marcus, 32, and Larsa went public in January of this year.

When asked whether he approved of his son's relationship with Larsa in a video obtained by TMZ, Jordan let out a laugh while getting into an SUV with his wife of ten years, Yvette Prieto, after leaving dinner at Matignon in Paris on Sunday before concluding with: "No!"

Jordan's to-the-point response contradicts that of Larsa, who previously claimed that she had been spending time with the NBA legend and his ex-wife, Marcus' mother Juanita Vanoy, and that they were in a “great place".

"I don’t really want to talk about them," Larsa said while speaking on The Tamron Hall Show in March. "I don’t really want to talk about them. I feel like it’s not about my parents or his parents. They’re all happy. Our whole family is fine. I feel like it’s more about where I am, where [Marcus] is. I feel like we’re in a great place. We motivate each other. We’re really happy being together. And I feel like that’s the most important thing.”

Larsa added on whether she thought she had Jordan and Juanita's blessing: "Yeah, I feel like we’re great. I feel like we’ve spent holidays together and it’s good. We’re in a great place.”

Jordan is in the middle of selling his majority stake in the NBA franchise, the Charlotte Hornets. The billionaire bought the team for just shy of $300 million in 2010, which he will now sell for $3 billion.
